Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Determine scope
   • Review project plan and other documentation
   • Determine installation requirements
   • Identify other implementation issues
2. Confirm scope with parties
   • Develop and document preliminary project scope and submit to appropriate person
   • Review requests for revision to scope
   • Identify areas for further development
   • Prepare implementation plan and forward to appropriate person
3. Update plans to account for scope
   • Review implementation plan, taking into account scope of system
   • Review key dates and events to determine if conflicts exist
   • Confirm revised plans and documents with appropriate person for final approval and sign-off

Performance Evidence

Evidence of the ability to:

prepare a project plan and implement an approach that addresses:

coordination.

Knowledge Evidence

To complete the unit requirements safely and effectively, the individual must:

identify and describe project planning, including the scope and roles of individuals

outline the key features of:

client business domain

information and communications technology (ICT) related services and issues

identify and describe possible legislative requirements relating to cabling and building preservation

describe the role of stakeholders and degree of stakeholder involvement

summarise current trends in vendor products

analyse and describe:

current industry accepted hardware and software products

prerequisites needed for system installation

vendor specifications and requirements for installation.
